Are the Genesis and 2TK subframes interchangeable? ie Will the 2TK ally subframe fit on a Genesis main frame?

Apart from the tail bodywork I don't think the subframe carries anything on a racebike (I pressume thats what it's for). Some rules says there has to be a rear light, you can get an adhesive LED one from hein grerik though.

So could you just rig something up with ally angle or channel section ?

As far as i know the mount points are all the same, so in theory , it should bolt up.

I need to cobble something up to take a different seat unit seeing as how mine got smashed up at the weekend, if I need to make a new one I might as well advertise the ally one for sale. If it fits the Genesis as well that'd be handy.

2tk subframe bolts straight up no problemo. From memory though the shock eye diameters are different (10-12mm I think) I dont think this will trouble you for more than a minute Kayla. I'm not sure if the plastics mount differently ...I'll try and check tomorrow if I get a chance.

I've sorted the problem out now, I decided to keep and use the 2TK subframe and moved the seat unit brackets on the top rail about 40mm further forward to fit the seat unit I'm using.

I saw you talking about running 4dl wheels on the fzr400 on another forum. I bought a set and they seem very spindly. Does anyone use them? and more importantly do they stand up to the abuse? cheers

That must be an old-ish thread, I sold the 400 at the end of last year! I'd happily chuck them in a 1WG if that helps allay your concerns.
