Potentially selling my UK NC30

Guys,

I might possibly be looking to sell my UK Nc30 in rwb with approx 5,200 miles and just wanted to ask if there's any potential interest out there for it?

In a way I kind of don't want to but it could be looking like needs must and have a few too many toys aka money pits to keep on the go.

It's a genuine uk bike that apart from some tidying is pretty tight and dare I say almost felt new when I rode it home the day I bought it last year.
It has a pretty much mangled lower right panel that was done by a low side fall on a roundabout apparently by the first owner which also caused a crack on the mid panel, burred bar end & brake lever plus some paint work damage to the right edge of the nosecone.

I've replaced the lever and have manage to source a brand new genuine lower right honda panel still in its original packaging which cost a small fortune but I just thought the bike was worth the expense instead of trying to match by repairing the original.

The plan was to refresh the wheels and get new tyres but so far all I've done is strip the bodywork except for the tank and its currently sat on trickle charge on an abba stand and started every couple of weeks until I can start work on it.

To get back to original it'll need the fork legs powder coating/painting silver as they're white at the mo (yuck!) and the exhaust heat shield shot blasted back to bare metal as that's also been painted white. Only other thing is it'll need the little black fairing pop rivets that connect the v-piece as they just fell apart when I tried to get them out apart from that I don't think there's loads to do but I suppose its how far you want to go

Below is a picture of her better side and as I say just wanted to ask as I may potentially have to sell before I fix her up but if I really do have to I'd much rather her go to someone on here than to some oik on eBay that'll stick her in a hedge!

Any thoughts welcome
Cheers
Carl

Hi carl

I cant see the picture but does it still have the uk indicators, nosecone, mirrors and uk associated paperwork? If it does then it will set the price above a jap spec bike despite it sounding like its needs some tlc.

Sorry i tried to upload the link using the phone but failed miserably on that one!

It's got all the correct bits on the bike but i don't have any official paperwork for it though.

I'll try some more links and hopefully they'll work this time;

Shame about the damage, looks like a good painter could restore that up to a good standard. If i was in the market for a UK bike id probably pay 1200-1300 tops considering the damage.

Is the frame damaged too up by the headstock, or just light marks?

Yeah it's a pity it got damaged like that but apart from really getting the nose cone, wheels/tyres sorted and some odds & ends its not a million miles from being finished but like you say if it would fetch 12/1300 tops I think it'd be worth keeping, get it put right to do it justice and sell one of my other liabilities lol!

Cheers

Right Carl - these "testing the water" threads are not really welcome - however i can see its a genuine bike and a nice one.
i reckon its worth more than 1300 - maybe 1500 - but i think you need to stick it on ebay with no reserve or a proper advert here with a proper price to find out.
How many owners ? i think i know this bike from years ago and the lad who came across it - but thats another story

Shame it does not have the service book, warranty card or you could add another grand on to that with ease.
The clown that painted the legs needs a bullet between his eye's but it has the right parts like under tray, mirrors, indicators.

The top/mid fairings could be repaired for £300, and the wheels, tyres, forks, heat shield can be fixed for another £300.
It seems to have all the right bits, although tool kit, manual, service book and stand all add some value.

I reckon £2000 as it stands, really clean and tidy original UK ones may well fetch £3000, but original unrestored/repainted bikes fetch the most.

If you bought it last year, then you must know its value as they have not changed much since then, the new lower panel will add a few hundred pounds.

Sell the bikes you ride less, that is what I do, original/standard RC30 gone last month, 175 Bantam on its way.

NC30 and NC35 to stay for a while.

Ok chaps thanks for the responses.

Apologies if the thread was not welcome as it really was a genuine enquiry and going off the crap I see on eBay for ridiculous prices I thought here would be the only place to ask for impartial advice on what would be a reasonable expectation, with the hope it'd fetch more than I paid If I have to shift it now.

The plan like arsey30 said is not to paint & polish the character out of it but keep it more of a sympathetic resto so I think I'll carry on with that plan.

Anyway thanks again
Carl
