i have noticed my 1993 nc30 import has been leaking petrol under the engine, after i removed the tank and seats i could see the fuel pipe from the tank was connected to the carbs by a brown plastic pipe fitting which had snapped off, please can someone tell me if this is a replaceable part.

Yes it's replaceable, but no longer available new.

I have a few spares myself but I'm located in Australia, probably best to try locally first - stick a wanted ad up on the classifieds here. There are often carbs being broken for spares so getting hold of a used one shouldn't be a problem.

The t-piece has an o-ring on each end to prevent fuel leaks, It's a good idea to use new o-rings when you fit your replacement part or your risk more leaks. Blair sells a complete carb gasket kit that includes these o-rings: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=42551

Not a huge job but it's fiddly - it takes time and a bit of swearing if it's the first time you've done it.

Once you have the carbs off the bike you'll need to remove the alloy top plate, then loosen each screw on the side of the carbs as if you were going to split them into 4 just a bit so you can remove the old t-piece and insert the new one in. If you split the carbs up completely it's a fiddly job to get them back together.

Getting the alloy top plate back on and the rubber velocity stacks all aligned properly is a fiddly job the first time around.

It's a time consuming job so will cost a bit, but not difficult, you'd be better off seeing if a capable forum member is local to you.

It's not that hard, just take your time.

two local bike garages didnt want to know and honda wanted an arm and a leg ,so i had to give it a go, bought a damaged set of carbs off e/bay with the tee,s in tact ,and i think with a lot of luck i managed to split the carbs on the bike using a skrewdriver head and a small shifter ,prised them apart just enough to fit the new tees but i had a mare getting the trumpet plate back on .started her up adjusted the idle and she is spot on, thanks for the help.
