well im starting to get that feeling that its time for a change of bike , im very reluctant to mod the RVF in any shape or form and to be honest i dont have the money to do anything to it anyway , so im thinking maybe selling it or swapping it for a 30 and then playing around with that as hopefully i would get some cash with the deal,
so any1 got a 30 they would be willing to have a deal with ? :P
few details on the RVF - completely standard , tax n tested till jan 09 ( i think ) , 55k km's on the clock and not in bad condition for the age of it , would probably make a nice clean up project for one of you cleaning nazi's :poke:

You guys could not be much further apart..lol

Jimy - just buy a '30 as a nail for £500 and go from there...keep the 35..you know it makes sense

i know ,finally he's seen the light and is undoing his wrong move by buying a '35 in the first place

well done to you buddy for having the guts to stand up and say i fcuked up and bought the wrong bike.then again ,if your having trouble running the '35 why do you hink the '30 is going to be any easier?

nc30's FTW !!

Do RVFs still carry a premium price over decent NC30s these days?

Not unless it is one of the last RVF's and then not that much.
NC30's seem to be in fashion again and the price is on the rise. Much like the Aprillia RS250 Jesus has that got up in value.

i thought rvf's were still ging for around £2500 for an alright one, iv seen the price of vfr's have gone up but all i can ever find on ebay is high milege ones with china plastic's and non matching tanks (they done come with tanks and they never seem to bother getting the paint matched) going for about £1300

*steps up on soap box

They may be asking that money for RVF's but are they selling. from what i see esp in the northwest they are not. And good clean unmodded NC30's are on the way up for sure.

After owning both i prefer the 30 for some reason. many would say the other, but my priorities are different to most i guess

im in no way shape or form saying that the 30 is better than the 35 8-)
far from it , like i said im just very leluctant to tear such a lovely bike to bits just to experiment with , i just had some idea's on panels and stuff i wanted to try out.
it was just an idea but if what people are saying about the price of 30's vs 35's it may not be worth while.

as for buying a 500quid bomb , if i had the money it'd be what i would do but as im skint and currently jobless its not an option at the moment , another reason i fancied a project for a few weeks as i have fcuk all else to do ;)

but maybe i'll just strip the 35 down and give it a good ole clean while i give it abit of a service over the next week
