IS this normal? (after carb rejet) (video included)

I just put some bigger jets in my carbs as I'm replacing the exhaust, I did the rejet before I've done the exhaust and started the bike up to make sure everything is ok, well once I rembered to turn the fuel tap on it seemed to start up like normal with the choke on. But it reacts strangely to throttle. I think it also sounds slightly more whirry than normal but don't know if that because the fairings are off and/or I'm paying more attention.
Here's a video of it responding to throttle input, it seems to stay at te revs for longer than I remember

Think it may be just running rich as it still has standard exhaust?

Do you have the throttle cables too tight?

I expect you just richened the needle and main jet which will have no effect on tick over speed or shut down speed
Adjust the throttle cable adjuster at the twistgrip to make sure there is some free play.
When carbs are re fitted, the cable routing can be disturbed.

My bike did this when I rejetted the carbs. I found that I'd disturbed the throttle cables and with a little adjustment and some wd40 down both of the throttle cable lines it soon sorted the problem.

Thanks for all your replies
I wasn't that confident with the throttle cables, is it possible the bottom one (return?) is just too loose?
Has anyone got a good explanation of how to set these proberly?

It's difficult to set them up wrong on the carbs or throttle end, usually the error is in the way the cable has been routed which can put tension on it.
There's a cable routing diagram in the uk manual, more info and a link to it in this thread:

I don't use a return cable, it never goes back on each bike after taking the carbs off for the first time.

When I had the carbs off my RVF, despite putting the cables back in the seemingly the same place the throttle jammed open unless the bars were in exactly the right place and then it only shut very slowly. Took ages of fiddling about to get it right. Just a few mm here and there seems to be enough to cause them to jam up. They were lubed and running perfectly before connecting up.
