Went out for a blast over the moors a couple of days ago,on what is flavour of the month at present;

Normally sheep are the biggest hazzard on unfenced roads .
One of the farmers has just started breeding Llamas of all bloody things, so I kept my eyes open from them.
Cresting the top of a hill and all of a sudden I am engulfed by a pack of grouse coming in from the side. :o
Aggggh.... the newly painted nosecone.
Fortunately all missed ....... cept the one that broke its neck on my helmet :(

Well;waste not/want not; had it for supper yesterday.

Just pleased it wasn't a crow . !

Yum! Did you do it with a few new potatoes and roasted veg in the same dish as the bird? Or with chips and a slice of extra thick white, buttered? Either would be good! :grin:

Very lucky man, i have seen a rider hit a pheasant and wasnt a pretty sight for either of them.

My mate hit a bird on his immaculate fzr a few weeks ago and for a split second i thought he had hit a massive feather pillow as it blew up with a cloud of feathers 25-30 feet high. Was like a mini bomb going off. I only had a few flecks of red. He is still picking feathers out.

Qe have decided that sheep are the thickest animals around. All that moor and rhey stand in the .middle of the road! Going up kirkstone pass the other month and i was all over the road trying my best to keep out of the way of these distressed sheep but they kept heading for me, mad.
