Hi all you Boff's

, got a small Q. I wanna change the rod end bearing on my NC 30, I recently replaced the crankshaft with the "B" code marking from an "A" code marking and accoring to the manual, I need to get the: "B (green), (green, green): 1.490 - 1.494mm (0.0587 - 0.0588 in)" shells. the prob is, on ebay it dont give the colour markings or the shell thickness, but it has: size 0.25, size 0.5, size 1 and std size and nowhere does it indicate which is which.
My crank code is "B1" and my con rod code is "A1" and according to my manual, the selection I have is right, so I know that much. Our Honda dealer want me to take out a second mortgage
Thanx
Cap

Contact the seller and ask for the color marks... If they don't know, well, I wouldn't put it in my engine.

The colour marks don't really mean much. End of the day, you should measure the actual clearance and select the shell based on thickness, rather than rely on Honda colour codes and crank letters. Besides, whether you go by Haynes or the Honda manual, you end up with different colours and even then, they don't take into account wear.
I ended up using different colour codes to what was specified for my crank/cases/rods, but my clearances are bang on.
I would say though that for a critical part like bearing shells, I'd always go with OEM.
