When you say store it you mean for a year or six months ?
I'd undo the back wheel nuts and slacken the chain right off so the adjusters are right in, then oil the chain.
Drain the tank and add some oil / petrol mix to it, then tumble the tank in your hands so it coats the inside.
Drain the carb float bowls. Take the battery off so you can recharge it every so often or use a battery optimiser

				Only 6 months
Ok so draining the float bowls is that the screws on the back of the carbs as you look towards the front of the bike i done this and petrol came out also do you mean half a cup of oil with say 5 litres of petrol swish it around then empty ??

If possible lift the wheels off the ground and slightly deflate.
Every few weeks squeeze the front brake lever to stop the pistons sticking and press the back brake.
It is a good idea to make sure your clutch cable is oiled, and give that a squeeze every so often aswell.
Now this is not essental but something I do. Slacken the spark plugs then retighten. This is so that no cylinders are under pressure. At the same time you could squirt a little oil into the cylinders and give it a quick turn over to lube up the walls.
