TYGA Bodywork on NC30.... petrol tap?

So, one of the things I noticed when try-fitting the TYGA kit was..... what is the fix for the access to the petrol tap?
Seat unit covers the tap so do you fit a vacuum tap? and, what about reserve? Or, is there another fix apart from modding the actual seat to get to the tap.

I also have a tyga tail but its not time to try and fit mine yet, from what I have seen on this site the NC30 tap is a vacuum tap - my seat is a two seat setup which has a cutout in it so I'm hoping I can still. Get to the the tap

I'll have to re-check that, initial look it seemed like a manual tap, fitted to the underside of the rear of the tank with a long extension to the knob. Seat is a single seat job which covers the tap when fitted................? Maybe I need to post up the numbers and more pics to determine exactly what I've got...?

I think maybe you've got an early version of the tyga seat unit and in the case most members just cut a hole big enough to fit you fingers in to turn the tap. I hole cutter or cone cutter would do a nice neat job.

Anybody got a picture of the later seat unit where the tap is....? and, where the seat attaches to the tank?
I can make a resess mould using the cap of a small spray can and fit that into the hole cut in the seat. Glass over the back of that, remove the cap, a bit of filler, rad the edges and paint.
There are mounting holes in the tank which the seat tips seem to line up with, but, there are 2 brackets on the frame spars just below that which don't allow the tips to sit fully in. Don't really want to cut these off as I haven't found out yet what attaches to them......?

I'm not sure the seat ever attaches to the tank. And I think the lugs on the frame are we're the standard seat unit mounts.

Mmm.... I might be running into another issue here as it may well be the wrong kit for this bike......... The mounting holes for the seat tips seem to line up with the holes in the tank better than the brackets on the frame but the tank is missing all its rubber mountings and frame/paintwork protectors....... Will have to sort out the tank mounting fully first I think before I sort the seat.

I just saw the pictures in the members section and you have a later seat, I think. The seat does then mount to the tank and those lugs are for the standard bodywork.

I might have spares for some of the tank rubbers. What ones you need?

Just to be clear (cos I just put my tank back on my bike), the NC30 has a manual tap, but the manual tap also has a vacuum pipe that attaches to it. A number of people have had hassles where they did not attach the vacuum pipe. Secondly, there has also been discussion around whether or not you should ever close the NC30 tap because of the vacuum pipe (assumming no one has opened the tap and removed /overridden your vacuum portion) - conclusion was it was just good practice to do so.
