Hi there,
I'm Colin a cbr 400 nc9 gull arm owener. I love this bike. However I am having troubles with a worn ignition barrel and today the key sheered off in the ignition (happy days not!!) I have bought a replacement barrel complete with two new keys. It looks pretty simple to fit just the usual bolts to bolt it on and a block connecter to plug in. Any advise would be greatly appreciated bike also has a converter from kph to mph wondered if this will cause me any probs or will it be a strait swap over. Many thanks and a big hello to all.

Colin

Its pretty straight forward, just remove the top yoke and you have easy access to the two bolts securing the ignition barrel. 8-) hello

Hi Colin, welcome. You might of done this by now but I just replaced my lock recently and found it bolted on immensly tight and could not remove it with a torx allen type key but luckily a friend had a decent rachet spanner with the right torx bit and it came of pretty easy without removing the top yoke,or fairing. Although i did have to loosen the front fairing and drop it forward to replace the wiring. The converter should pose no problems if working correctly as i use one myself.
