Just joined here, so hello everyone!

I'm currently looking at buying a '92 CB400SF for my wife. She's a little on the short side, so figured this would be a good bike to consider. She's not had a bike in about 10 years, but the last was a Honda VT250 grey import. Ideally, we're looking for a cheap runabout to get her to University and zip about London.

What should I look out for on this bike? Any common issues? What availability of spares, sundries like (pads, filters etc)?
The bike I've seen apparently has a bit of rust. Any points I need to specifically watch out for?
We'd want to stick a top box on back, ideally a Givi Monokey one, so we can interchange boxes with my bike.

Hi Arfa. Until someone with SF knowledge comes along I can give some general advise. The usual culprit would be the charging system reg/rec as with most Hondas it usually crops up, and as the engine is loosley related to the cbr I would check it engages 2nd and 6th gear. One other thing some of these bikes may have been used by couriors so possible high milage.
