Well after a year in storage I put a new battery and plugs in and my 4dx started first time on the button....happy days. However after a bit of tinkering she wouldn't start at all but I traced that to the dreaded blue and white wire! The main issues in gettin her goin for summer before working on her during winter (apart from persuading my dear girlfriend to let me ride her on. if roads after a ten year break, which I mite add was helped by me looking good in leather apparent lol) are....rev counter not working, exup servo not working, I've tried a spare and still no joy, value is free as well. The indicators don't seen to want to work and the neutral light is not working / lit. I've sourced a 3tj cdi from levo on here as I'm suspecting it mite be this that's faulty or modified......any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I've got jobs coming out my ears. Thanks, richard.

Well - it started  and I assume it starts now so thats a bonus.
The indicators - take a live and earth, take the indicator off and put the wires on the battery, and if it comes on you know the bulb is ok. If they all work then it's either the switch or the flasher relay. The relay is forward of the fuses and has two wires going to it they go into an L shaped connector.
The EXUp - check the wires are free and not seized. Slacken the wires off - to much tension will stop the servo. Make sure the connectors aren't corroded.
The neutral sender is under the sproket cover it's an off white plastic thing - follow the wires back to the loom and bridge the loom wires so you short it. If the neutral light comes on then it's the sender

Have a look at the wiring diagram in the Documents Library (link at the very top of the page) it could just be a wire or a connector undone.

Cheers again ec, def not exup cables as I've completely disconnected cables from exup valve, I was just wondering if it could be tied in with faulty rev counter. Yeah it still starts :) thanks for advice on other items I'll give them a coat of looking at over next few days.
