A friend is selling his UK NC30 [he has bought my RC30] what are tidy originals bikes fetching now.
I know what they are advertised for, but what can he expect, and where to pitch it.
I thought around £3000.
Thanks.

I had a very good one, really struggled to sell it as It didn't have any history or owners card and manual. I eventually got £2600 for It and I was lucky.
If its a real minter with all the bits and bobs, yeah 3k anything other than that 2.5k

Thanks, I paid £2600 for a decent one with paddock stand, tools and handbook, I wondered if the asking prices were being achieved.

With the economy being down I think everyone is trying to get top money for everything, this doesn't help with ebay artificially inflating prices.. one garage puts theirs up for stupid money, another person copies and soon the starting bid on all bikes is much higher.
I don't see any problems with advertising it for that much, everyone else does.. you might get somebody just buy it or some haggling if you put ono.
Tricky one to call as it depends on what condition its in and whats with it becuase the majority of NC30 owners don't really care about if its a UK model or not, its really a collectors thing.
Stick with the 3k for a couple of weeks and see if it shifts.
I think the weathers hampering sales too at the moment

Honestly i seem the think the original none restored bikes get snapped up, and the restored ones stay hanging around.
Seems the same with RC's too.
I think people buy the best none restored examples they can find and will pay for the honour.
The problem is as soon as someone else has tarted this up, polished that its no longer original.
which is why i leave mine clean but not polished and nothing to do with being a lazy git who would rather ride a bike than clean it

He may advertise it here. with pictures.
It is pretty original from memory, not much restoration.
I agree with Paul re restorations, a bike is only original once.
Too many over shiny restorations, mainly old British bikes with lots to polish.
