NC29 Carb cleaning

i am having the carbs cleaned & re-balanced on my bike next week.
While they are being stripped/cleaned.. should there be any parts i MUST replace?
seals?
gaskets?

got a gasket/orings etc set from Lings Honda
diaphragms are discontinued with no old stock.

Are you going to strip them or a mechanic? If yes replace all jet O-rings,diaphragms should be OK and also get new float bowl gaskets to prevent any leaking issues, also check your carb rubber intakes for any crack to see if they need replacing.

if i had time.. id do them myself. but i dont so having bike booked in.
the set from honda has all the gaskets you need.

hey LP, how much was the full set you bought, was there a single part number or did you just go through the parts book and what was the wait time?

single PN that is a set of gaskets, O rings of various sizes, washers etc..
a set of 4 (1 for each carb) £76 from Lings Honda.
PN for a CBR400 RR-L & N is 16010-MV4-000
PN for a CBR400 RR-R & RII IS 16010-MV4-780

Book? I heard about these old dangled things, heard that you have to turn pages.

I have all mine digital & can bring it up on my phone while stood in a Honda dealers or computer while in the phone to them.
All my bikes manuals/fishes/HRC manuals are digitised.

Bless chap who's doing my carbs usually works on sunny day riders bikes....
"Worst carbs I have ever seen"
Oil & sand gunked in the bottom of the airbox (always been there)
Couple of airbox breathers kinked (have been since I bought it 13yrs ago)
Dirty all round
Told him it will be coz I don't wash my bike often

More concerned with internal carb condition :)
