Hi.

Does anyone know if the fzr400rr and fzr600r foxeye exhaust link pipes are the same or at least interchangeable?

Cheers
Kris

The foxeye link pipe goes inside the the exup headers at the exit point. I have a scorpion link pipe for the foxeye and that follows the std pipe design too (goes inside). The couple of 3TJ ones I have all go over the std header after the exup valve. Will compare shapes tonite.

I should explain it better is suppose.

Ive just bought a 3tj RR and all the kit plus a fox eye motor to do a hybrid conversion.

I'm going to leave the RR standard but plan to put the fox eye motor in my trackbike.

As well as the motor i got a mild steel micron system for a thundercat the only part I'm missing is the link pipe so I just wondered if the link pipes were the same to widen my search a bit.

Thinking about it more, does anyone run fzr400 hybrid without the exup and a full race system? Just wondered how the performance will be affected??

You run the 600 motor with the 600 downpipes. You might be able to get the 400 pipes on there but I bet they're tight to the sump. There was a 3HE 600 that ran an exup in the USA but generally they don't need it due to the extra capacity giving more midrange.

You're getting into these 3TJ's then ;)

So I can get the 600r micron pipes blasted and sprayed up and I just need a link pipe for a complete 600 set up for my Trackbike.

Cool.
