How much coolant?

I had to replace the seals on the water pump so thought it would be a good time to replace the coolant fluid
im pretty sure its drained out so there should not be any coolant left in the bike
how much coolant should i be putting in the bike and is there a specific way to ensure that there is no air in the system?
i had a look in the service manual but it says something about looking in chapter 5 a different document (which i dont have)

plus is there any thing i need to know about which i may be missing? (first time doing a coolant change on a bike which doesnt seem to have a air release screw type thing)

you mean the common service manual i think.

Fill expansion bottle to max mark with fresh coolant.

Put bike on its sidestand.

Ensure all drain bolts are right.

slowly fill radiator until the coolant is at the top.. gently squeeze coolant hoses starting from bottom to dislodge trapped air.

start bike without cap and let warm up to half way.. rev to 5000 rpm quickyl and let drop back to idle.

repeat 3 times and turn off engine.

allow to cool and top up coolant to top and replace cap.

all done.

some coolant will boil over while doing this.. wash it off quickl.
