Doesn't seem like a bike deal. Some guys hammer their rotors to make them fully floating and they work fine breaking at high speeds (on track). The front wheel will actually spin better.

I think it'll be ok too, I've had discs like that. when there hot the slack will be taken up some anyway, (which is why there is floating discs)

Interesting the one has loosened up more than the other though, could just be the discs but i'd check to see if your brakes are even (i.e stuck pistons in one caliper)

If your not happy though change them, perhaps contact the mfg?

Is there a crack in the disc, though? Right at the start of the second video.

I contacted EBC yesterday hoping for a quick fix and to be able to buy a set of shims circlips and buttons but i was refered to their tech team about this after explaining the problem they asked me to send them the discs as they wanted to see them and explained that the buttons and bits are pressed on so i could not replaced the parts myself, I understand that a some of the play would have gone when they were hot, after I removed the disc and compared them to each other I was shocked to see that there was only 3 of the buttons that still had their shims and circlips holding the rotor, I'm waiting on a phone call today from the tech team to let me know why this might have happened, @Neosophist my front calipers were checked and rebuilt just before I took the bike of the road so there shouldn't be any problems there, I will be keeping a close eye on brakes once they are all back together for the foreseeable.

No crack in disc that was a pad mark because bike has sat and not moved from about 9 months
10 out 10 for observation though

Well that's that i spoke to the tech team this morning and they are knacker and to old to do anything with they estimate age as 10/15 years old lol they were the second set or something like that they had produced, so I'm back to square 1 again bike is off the road until I can source some new ones....

Will they not do you a reduced price on a replacement set? Especially if they are still above the wear limit?

I had the same problem on my 1989 exup front discs,they was spondon dics and the left one very loose but the right one fine.my bike failed the mot because of them so I got a set of galfers wavy dics instead.the calipers was looked after and cleaned/stripped often.
