Fitting a new headlight to a Version R

Hi everyone. So, I'm 99% certain that by Saturday, I'll have my very own CB400 Super Four - my first 'big' bike after my trusty Suzuki 125cc that I've been riding to Leeds and back since 2009 :)
Anyway, I'm already thinking about customising the bike - but I'm no mechanic. Willing to learn and tinker though, and with a bike from 1995 that's pretty much guaranteed, even if it is a Honda.
One of the first things I want to do it maybe put on a round headlight. The 'Version R' I'm getting has the bikini fairing and the rectangular headlight, which I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of (it's like this, see here - http://www.motorbikespecs.net/images/Ho ... 2-95_4.jpg). It might grow on me, but if I we're to buy a headlight assembly off a pre-Version R, older CB400, or another bike or just a 'generic' round headlight for that example, how easy would it be to put that on in place of the rectangular one do you think?
I'm pretty sure I can handle the nuts and bolts side of it and get something fixed on there, I'm just wondering if the electronics could cause me problems or of there's anything I should watch out for?
Cheers everyone,
Rich
