Ride height!!!

I was having a few ground clearance issues with my 3tj track bike so bought a set of shortened dogbones to raise the ride height. I measured my rideheigh at from the rear axle to a point on the rear subframe and got a difference of 72mm between standard and raised which is a huge amount.
I had tried it at a trackday and although it changed direction fantastically the front end felt very vague and I did not have any of the confidence in the front that I did when it was standard.
Can anyone tell me what rideheight they use and how they get on.

Thanks
Stuart

I've got a pair of old rear sets somewhere.

lifting the back that much will be putting more weight on the front, so you need stiffer springs or increased preload to get the "feel" back.

Thanks for that but it's not just the pegs, it's everything.
The suspension has been done by Maxton so I know it's good and the preload has been reset also. I bought a BDK ride height adjuster but I must have ballsed it up when I put it in the frame as it stripped everything hence the reason I am trying dog bones etc.

Standard ride heights on mine, not even dropped the yokes and it feels great. I have had a few scraping moments but just put more weight on my knee/ hang off more and try to stand the bike more upright.
Maybe try lifting the front yokes back to standard as it may be too much off an aggresive angle mixed with the rear ride height.

Hi Tim, AT the pb trackday it just wasn't right which is why I am trying different things. The only thing I had changed were the dog bones.
I have put everyting back to standard today including the dogbones but put a spacer under the shock to raise it 7mm.
I am a Knockhill on Friday so will see what it is like then.
