Has anyone powdercoated the rear spring? Mine is chipped etc, but I am not sure how to fix it?

A) Just paint it
B) Powdercoating (I am worried that raising it to 200 degrees celcius may affect its spring rate is that not a problem?)
C) Rubberise it (that paint / rubber in a tin that you can use to dip tools in etc)
