NC21 Carb issues

Heres one for the carb experts. I know this bike has been stood for quite a while so was expecting some issues with it and while it did run it never idled very well so I decided to get the carbs off and give them a clean hoping that would help as it had been sat with fuel in it. When I removed the mixture screws to check them I found that 1 of them has the needle missing off the end and it appears to be stuck in the carb as if its been over tightened at some point. Is there anyway of getting this needle out of the carb without causing more damage and if that is possible can I still buy the mixture screws to replace the broken 1 or should I just scrap the carbs as they have obviously been misused in the past and try and find replacements.

jesus, never seen a snapped mixture screw before!

If its been tightened that hard its snapped the screw, no doubt its damaged the seat where the needle goes into.

I think you will save yourself a lot of hassle if you get some new carbs. Clean them all out, set them up, make sure the o-rings and srping and washer are on the mixture screw needles (they can get stuck in the carbs so are hard to get out)

jets and needles in the right palce and it should run like a good one.
