hi, im putting together this 1984 vf400 (nc13)
or should i say im trying to put together
ive been endlessly searching most the day now, and am hoping somebody here can help with a wiring diagram at the very least
im hoping for a free downloadable manual but
these things must be pretty rare, i cant even source a fuel tank, no matter, ill hit some breakers in the morning and see what i can make fit. ill be upgrading the shock, forks and wheels ... especially the inboard braking discs that these had. i have most the rest in my shed but i wont be using it. so this is all ill be using of the original bike.
could do with something to help with the carbs too if anybody is in the mood for sharing too
thanks for any help or advice

Wow, looks like you have some work ahead of you!
If you can't find a vf400 wiring diagram, try to source one from an nc21 (or perhaps even the nc24), I imagine the wiring will be very similar.

nah, not that much workonce the engine is wired and running it just needs wheels

i have this wiring diagram, but i cant read the hyroglyphics
i dont even know if i have a full loom here,
seems its mostly there - theres enough of it that i can see and work, but once eliminated the indicators, lights etc. i dont seem to have enough wires for switchgear and ignition

That wiring diagram is in Chinese. Not being a comedian but if you find a local takeaway I bet they will help you translate it for a couple of quid

A lot of the things are probably self explanatory, however I have found a VF1000 diagram which looks broadly similar, so you may find it of some vague use for comparison seeing as it has notes in English...

Not having all the components isn't helping... and the fuse box is like no other I've come across
the switch gear connects part into the main loom but also into the fusebox, on the fusebox are lotsvof places for clipping in more wiring.
I can't find any plug for the ignition. Now, ive found the right switchgear bit have no left... the right is the starter and kill switch. I just need to see what clips are supposed to be in the fusebox. Where the ignition clips in and I can at least then try to spin the bike over.

My friend paid 250 gbp for a complete running bike in excellent condition, including a spare bike in bits, missing just a tank exhaust and forks..... I bought the spares off him andbthat is what you see here
