Can anyone tell me if the fork stanchions are the same on the FZR400rr 3tj and the FZR400rrsp 3tj models.

I have a set of SP forks on my bike but the chrome stanchions are not at there best and I have a few sets of RR forks with mint ones.

No they're different at the bottom.
I had new stanchions on my SP forks they were rebuilt by RaceLab in Bournemouth.

i will have 2 sets of sp forks for sale soon, one is a aset of very clean originals with mint stanctions, and the other will be virtually a new pair, i.e new stanctions rechromed, powdercoater lowers and fresh seals and oil. so they will be as new basically. drop me a line if your interested. matfzr400rrsp@hotmail.co.uk or 07745704599

You could get your stanchions re-cromed.

There are a few companies who do it, but a friend of mine got some done here and he was very happy with them.
