Hi again, tried to search but couldn't find any posts there were similar.

the problem I'm having is the bike cranks fine and starts fine when cold... but when it's warm it's harder to crank??? and the hotter the engine the hard the starter finds it to crank... to the point of not turning over. bumps fine, also seems to drain the battery pretty quick (altho its a new uprated battery)

I'm thinking the starter motor is on it's way out or the wiring is conducting badly... I've replaced much of the wiring already but not the ones to the starter motor.

Anyway, what do you think??? I hoping for a trouble free summer and I'm determend to get the problems sorted now before the sun comes and I'm stuck in the garage fixing things...

Ok, I've discovered the generator is not charging the bike I still running on the battery. Stoke the clutch cover off to have a look. But need to find a generator puller to move the generator out of the way to check the wiring.

Anyone know we're to etc a puller from? Otherwise illhave to make one

Like monkey I've tested the generator on dc voltage not a.c. the generator is fine.... so looked at the rectifier the 3 yellow wires 3.5 ohms, when with either the black or the red wire .... black to red wire 20 ohms instead of 6 as per the manual... :) THINK I'VE GOT IT.?
