Just thought I would plug this place as I get my VFR NC30 serviced here and it's such a welcoming informative workshop.
It's basically self service so you pay for your bench time (£22per hr) and you get the help and experience of the lovely Matt who over see's the place.
With his wealth of knowledge about the VFR (as he used to professionally race them and has been a mechanic for racing teams around the world) I couldn't trust anyone else lifting a finger to my bike!
If anyone is in the London area and wants cheap servicing then do it yourself at the Oval Motorcycle Centre situated in SW8 close to Vauxhall.

Is there anywhere like this in the west midlands? Would love to use one of these places. £22 per hr, assuming it includes the use of a bench and tools seems a bargain to me.

It's even cheaper when you buy bulk hours as you get free hours the more you buy

Im pretty sure Kev @ Projex would offer this service, £22 an hour seems very reasonable for london prices.

I guess as a starting point its ok until you have your own tools/space/know how

I've always wished we had something like this here in the states. What a great service. I guess in a year, I'll have enough stuff in my garage to do all my own servicing.
