Hello,

I know there is many topics on this but none of which works for my bike.

I've been trying to start it for the past few days, it wont and its been bugging me! I went out a few days ago to give her a start up and she just wouldn't fire into life.

I've tried pouring fuel into the carbs directly through the fuel tap tube. I've tried bump starting her and she still wouldn't go. I've also tried charging the battery even though it's a brand new battery.

Its not even like she wants to start just keeps turning over but no like want to spark into life. No splutters or signs she wants to live :(

Really at a loss what to try next and I thought this community would be most helpful to try and get her going without me having to take her straight to the garage?

Have you tested for a spark at each plug?

Not yet. It was only started last week so I didn't really think there would be a spark issue?

Bear in mind that the coils and HT leads, if original, will be 25 years old now :peace:

The HT leads definitely aren't original. They're aftermarket however I'm not too sure about the coils? Will get my Dad to have a look at he's an electrician so I'm sure he'll be able to tell me if they get power or not?

This may come across as a bit rude but posting the equivalent of

"my bike doesnt work, why?" and expecting an answer without providing and details of what caused it to stop and what you've done to try and fix it really wont get you very far.

Why doesn't it work?

Who knows, could be anythign from aliens to a fox pissing in the carbs. Without some information on what happened and what you've already tried its difficult to narrow it down.

When did it last run, you mentioned new battery, why?

Why are you pouring fuel into the carbs directly? Is everything standard?

Have you checked the obvious things like kill switch.
