Are the nc30 and nc35 exhausts different??

Hi, this might seem like a stupid question but is there any difference between the nc30 and nc35 exhausts? I bought a MHP full system off ebay a while ago and when the exhaust is fitted there is no room to fit the lower rad (the fan assembly hits the header pipe when the lower rad mount is about an inch away). Ive compared the header pipes to the ones on my old exhaust and they are a different shape. does anyone have any experiance with this? Thanks

they are different, however the downpies are almost the same and you can fit one on the other if that makes sense.
the MHP downpipes may well have been designed for race use - hence why you would need to remove the fan to get it to fit.

am sure of the the lads with a MHP system will be along to confirm.

The down pipes on the new exhaust are definitely a different shape from the ones on my old exhaust, they just go straight down instead of curving to accommodate the fan. I think you could be right but would be good if soneone could confirm this. I suppose I could use the old crappy downpipes. Shame, the mhp ones are so shiny haha.

It is a race system and so no fan.

simples!

I have not used a lower fan for about 5 years now...as long as you are not sitting in traffic then it is no worries!

And i doubt the standard headers will fit the MHP system, as above tho ive never had problems running without a fan.

The front left downpipe on the NC35 has a part number which indicates it is specific to that model, but the right side is the same. The revision is probably very minor. The stubby headers that go on the rear cylinders are the same on both bikes. The only significant difference between the collector boxes is that the NC30 left the factory with a silencer as an integral part of the assembly, and the NC35 has a flange to fit the silencer to.

As has been stated above, the fan probably won't clear the pipework as a lot of if not all race systems are designed for bikes without them fitted, after all, they're mainly used to cool the bike when it is running slowly or stopped, rather than tearing around a racetrack. Obviously it's down to the manufacturer's choice, but why compromise a race system by making it friendly for road use?

Another one here that doesnt run a fan, no real issues with it as long as your lower rad is in ok condition. Also im pretty sure the 35 collector is quite different to the 30 one but they should all fit the same.

Doesn't the left downpipe on the rvf have a slight dink in it so you can get to the sump nut easier?

Thanks for your replies, The down pipes do appear to fit the mhp system but I haven't tried it on the bike. I think I'll prob just to ahead and remove the fan though as ill just be using this bike for fun so don't think I'll be spending much time in traffic. Might have to consider a new rad though, but I've been wanting to get a new set anyway so now I have an excuse.
