fzr 400 3tj air filter

Hi. This sounds stupid but where can i get an air filter that actually fits

. i have just got one from wemoto for my 89 3tj import and it doesnt fit. I have asked a number of people on ebay the dimensions of filters that should fit my bike and they are all the same

. Can anybody help. Thanks

Did they make an 89 3tj?

According to the DVLA they do

My 1990 3TJ1 is on a K-plate......

The original air filter is available from yamaha but is over £40 I think. According to someone on here I'm sure the BMC FZR600 filter can be used as it has removable top & bottom spacers.

You need a BMC FM174/07 from http://www.bmcfiltershop.co.uk/motorcyc ... 74-07.html the measurements are 68mm internal 115mm external 115mm o/a height

After I washed and reoiled it
