Question about the SEED colour scheme

Can someone who has a original SEED VFR confirm if the black is just black or is it a kind of metallic finish. The colour code i have is Granite Blue Metallic so my source is either wrong or thats one weird name for a black colour. The NSR i had in the SEED scheme was just plain black so assumed the NC would be the same yet a couple of people have told me its a metallic colour.

I always thought it was plain black but it is ever so slightly metallic. And I'm sure Granite is the description of the colour from reading a few bits.

In the world of paints, aren't black pigments effectively actually VERY dark blues and greens rather than a true black? In same way that a pint of Guinness looks black but is actually ruby red if you look closely, and coke is caramel?

No the black is painted on, theres no point but you could use decals on the mids and lowers but the seat unit is mostly black.

It wouldn't surprise me. I know one of the blacks Yamaha commonly use is called V-Max blue and that also has a very slight metallic finish.

If it helps the nc29 type 2&4 use this colour in their main scheme.
