OKI Paint scheme.

Hi guys, i've finally sourced all my bits and pieces, and repaired all my fairings, and i'm looking to send them off to be painted next month, giving me time to get the bike back together, when there away.
I'm strongly considering an OKI paint scheme, even though its an NC30.
I know a few of the guys on here have done OKI schemes before, and i'm looking for some advice.
Paint codes, decals manufacturers, decals sizing, and if it will look crap/out of proportion on an NC30.
Also, did you give your painters loads of pics, or did you give him some sort of schematic?
Any other advice would be great too!
Also, if any of the NI contingent want to help with my long 'To Do' list on the bike next month, feel free!
Tea and Bickies Provided!

What a coincidence!!
I have just been looking to see if the Oki paint scheme is still available on the Chinese fairings :)
I want to get a second set of fairings for when my brother finally passes his test and wants a bike. I bought the NC with the idea of him riding it, and as another 400 to my collection. I decided to take the original panels off for the first 6 months, just in case it went over.
Good luck with the build.

Not sure what you mean by this?
The original oki rvf750's are from around 1991, same era as the nc30. The type 8 paint scheme (last one) was also based on the oki scheme.
Can't offer any advice but I do think it's the best racer paint scheme. Ever.

More thinking about the nose shape, and the seat unit, and if the OKI will fit between the holes in the fairings.

Ah ok, fair enough.
Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen an oki scheme on standard shape nc30 bodywork.

Hi Sam,
So what all is on the to-do list then?
Know you got new rads & good to hear you got the plastics fixed too.
Sounds like you'll be all set for some summer miles!

Well, bike is stripped down to engine and swingarm in frame.
I think I have almost everything I need ordered in, and ready to go, so its just a matter of time now.
I need to strip and rebuild my forks, (and hopefully remove some light corrosion at the top of the fork legs)
Valve clearances, helicoil a bolt hole on the genny cover side of the engine, prep a few panels for painting, get the wheels blasted for painting, polish up the header pipes, and possibly polish up my half system (it hasn't arrived yet)
And I need to strip clean and rebuild my rear caliper.
I think thats really all the big jobs I have to do. Aside from getting the panels painted. Oh, and cleaning everything, and putting it all back together, and filling her with fluids!
I may also need to source a 50mm slip on can for the new half system.
Seems pretty simple eh?
