Finally got round to installing and photographing the TPS for the Ignitech unit on my NC30.
This is the completed assembly:

Carburettors
This is an end view showing the spatial separation of the sensor from the cable pulley:

Here we have the grommet, which has been pared down to fit the stepped recess in the sensor:

And finally, drilled & tapped butterfly shaft with 4mm bolt which grips the grommet internal diameter:

Road testing back-to-back with 2D/3D ignition mapping anytime soon.

Dave.

What advantage does this have? I know the GSXR400sp has a TPS but ive never understood what benefit it gives.

I have no idea as to the benefit, but I'm sure it took some great skills to get that sorted, so well done sir, well done.

Nice work, ive done the same to a set of RVF carbs. Was going to work out a mount for the VFR carbs but you've saved me the hassle
Look forward to the road testing, im way off getting any testing done.
The benefits of this is you can have different ignition advance based on throttle position instead of just 1 ignition map covering the the whole range of the throttle.

Forgive me for being a retard, but how do you vary the ignition timing? I thought that was something you could only do with EFI?

Hi, does the ignitech auto map for this or is it something you have to make maps for?
Cheers
