Nc30 questions
Recently bought another nc30 track bike from eBay that I wanted I few bits from and I'm planning on selling the rest on ( thread in forsake section soon )
It turns out the new bike has a uk frame but no v5 , is it worth trying to get a v5 sorted or is the frame not worth anything ?
Also it has a mild steel looking 3/4 system , who made these ?
I will get some pics up at some point but its at a mates garage .

Re: Nc30 questions
You will need the reg number to claim a V5.

Depends how much time and money your willing to spend.
DVLA should have the bike on their records so you can start by asking them, no doubt they'll want a fee if they can provide the relevant certification.
The other option is to re-register the bike on an age-related plate with a dating certificate avaialble from an authrorised body (west coast imports will do one for 20 quid if you send them photos of the bikes frame number)
This will cost you 55 quid to register it once you have the certificate.
The other thing I can think of since it is a UK bike which should let you keep the original number and information is to contact Honda UK and ask them for a dating certificate for the bike based on the frame number, only done this with a Kawasaki and it was around 85 quid for them to send the paperwork but this negates the need for the DVLA to inspect the bike.
So there are a few ways you can do it
In this order
1. Contact DVLA see what they have about it. (Best to write or email I think, you might be on the phone all day otherwise. IF you can get through!)
2. Contact Honda UK and ask for a dating certificate for the bike as you have lost the V5.
3. Contact an apporoved dating certificate supplier who will date the bike and an appropriate plate will be given (it will loose the original number and reg date)
