GK76A CLUTCH PLATES

Hi all,
Very new to this site and new to bikes in general, although I did motocross from the age of 9 up until about 12, I had little involvement in the mechanics! Anyway... Recently passed my test and have bought a GSXR400 SP 1992. Have to say the bike is absolutley immaculate with only 12000 miles on it. Havent seen one with the same colours as mine as i think the previous previous owner has done a refurb project on it. Everything is spotless!
HOWEVER.....
Bike does not like to find neutral when its running, and feels like it wants to creep forwards whilst in gear with the clutch in. After reading a lot about it I decided its time to change the clutch plates. So far i have ordered the plates and new springs. I'm also going to order new metal plates x 8, and 5 new bolts for the springs. I know I'm probably going to need a new gasket as well but am unsure of which one to go for from looking at the parts list.
So basically I've got a few questions to anyone who wants to help out...
1. What gasket do I need.
2. Am I going to need any special tools? I've seen some sort of clutch tool on ebay but I dont know if Im actually going to need it?!
Finally...
Never done any mechanics on a bike other than change brake pads, so I'm totally going in in the dark with this change of clutch plates. If anyone can literally explain pretty much every stage
it would be BRILLIANT!!
I worked in a rally car garage and have a diploma on manufacturing and mechanical engineering and currently study power sytems engineering at uni so I'm quite machanically minded. I just need the stages to go through and any tools i might need before I rip everything apart.
Thanks!
