Champion paddock stand

Got this stand cheap, and took a punt on it. The guy selling it only knew it didn't fit a Ducati.

Now, it seems good quality, with a bearing mounted spigot. Seems correct diameter for the NC30 (if a little tight), but it's too long.

It's into the wheel as far as it will go, but there's still a gap. Are they like this? Does anyone know?

Don't want to be putting more torque on the stand than I should! And having my bike drop by no fault of my own for the third time!

Cheers!

sorry to be the bearer of bad news sam but thats wrong, really wrong and it'll be the ruin of your bike. in short it'll cause the bike to implode and turn itself into a cardboard box in the rain......

i'll do you the fvour of taking it any and putting it in the bin......... honest .......;)

Is it so wrong it's right? (or at least not likely to spit my bike over the driveway?)

I can't remember the brand of mine, but it looks identical, including the the amount of roller sticking out of the wheel. It's not been an issue for 10 years... :) I find that if the inside of the axle isn't nice and clean, the roller is quite a tight fit, and has a habit of sliding off when you pull the stand away. If the roller fitted completely within the axle, it would be a right pain to get out!
