So the postman ambles along just when he feels like it(what with the price postage is-dont even go there) and as I have no room in the garage anyhow we got next to nowt done again today, not really bothered though as I had four wisdom teeth put in at the dentist yesterday and the fridge is full of guinness.
So these land at 3 0'clock,£3 delivered. You can see why!

And 5 minutes later after being in this:

So we can do this

To get to this

Here are the cut/ shut dog bones.

And here is what looks like an original shock complete with genuine Toyko clarts!

Chain and sprockets look original judging by the tab washer and wear on chain!
No reason why they shouldn't be with 0 ring chains and only 26.5k km on clocks.I got nearly 50k miles on a GS 750 EC when they came out, looked after mind ,a chain was £100 in 78 and that WAS a lot of beer tokens.
What is amazing is that pushrod seals last as long when exposed to grinding paste like this.I dont think the sprocket cover had ever been off judging by untorn gasket and locking fluid traces on cap screws.

Cheap Micron sticker off fleabay landed so finished off the old can I had off the 1000 by light polish and an old tin of laquer.Looks a bit snide next to a propper can but was trying to use up stuff thats lying round before spending gets out of hand.Proper metal badge would look better if anyone is scrapping a wrecked can! "Cheap sticker doth not a Micron make." William Telfer.Trying to keep costs down on this bike, have gone down the "Viv Nicholson spend, spend, spend" route too many times.

Bit of a p*ss take here= ever seen twin chokes before? P.O decided to fix lever he bust off with a propper bodge instead of picking a replacement up for less than a tenner. This seems why these little gems of bikes are usually abused, they appealed to first timers! No put down intended to the youth of today but GET SOME MECHANICAL SYMPATHY.Buy parts to maintain your bike instead of the latest phone.

Right thats it.
