Right then, you like photos,so here goes.
First problem:
Lack of space !!!!!
Image

Image

Image

And for all who's other half says NO,just tell them that they make good clothes horses.
Image

Stripped of fairings, all in all,it looks like its been looked after by at least one owner.
Image

Image

Image

Image

Now how on earth can you crack this;but more to the point who has a spare?
Breakers want to sell the tank cover with it and postage costs rule this option out!
Image

Sidetracking momentarily;this is the old 1000R can in preparation for refurb to go onto 3EN2.
Will get Simmi performance to make a stainless link pipe,he's sh*t hot quality and price wise.
Good club racer too!
Image

False intake pipes for which I need covers!
Boris has one (which side ?) Who's got the other?
Image

Rear undertray split and melted by carrying Fatty Arbuckle as a pillion.Ive either got to repair this with Ecu in situ as the captive plate is corroded solid and plastic does not appreciate oxy heat ,or source a tidy one.
Image

Another expense-twisted out of true birdcage.£65 NOS if its the correct one!!
Image

Image

Now this little bugger:
First-How do you get you hand into where it is to switch to reserve? Now I know the Japs are small but are they contortionists aswell.
Secondly extremely stiff to operate so have stripped and cleaned it but on rebuild its still too stiff with screws tightened home-perhaps they should be adjusted till tap is free but doesnt leak. Will bench test on tank at a later date.
Image

And how many of these has this bike had? This might get the JB Weld treatment, respray and be kept as a spare!
Image

This is one place I dont mind seeing grease. Was expecting an Exup overhaul but its very good all round.

Image

This one is past redemption but "Caviga" has one, just hopes it fits!!

Image

More crash damage-This might !!!!! clean up.

Image

Very pleased with a German battery till I saw Made in Taiwan-Thats propper sh*te.

Image

Image

Good headers anyhow.

Image

Fork seals weeping ,might let this develop till time permits or they burst.

Image

Worst corrosion on it-Why did none of the Jap Four make subframes out of alloy after all that extruded frame development ? Thats going to the plastic coaters along with this;

Image

Image

Back of Kph clocks (tried to show wiring for M-Max box fitment)

Image

Dont fancy trying to read this, miss the verge by 2 inches, avoid that muckspreader and brake for the tourists without going through the dyke round Derwent reservoir.Mph one in the pipeline.

Image

Stock restricted ignitor cdi.See how its fixed through undertray;bugger.

Image

Now this is tatty-might go down the blue spots and R6 master cylinder road, wants braided hoses anyway.

Image

Pity cos I like these dinky little things and there still in canny nick.

Image

Right thats it for now.More nonsense in a minute as they said on Its not the nine o'clock news.

Is there a way to post photos direct to text for the next time????

Blimey you are a bit pushed for space! . I,ve a spare stainless link pipe or two if it fits or can be made to fit you can have it, I,ve one or two other spare fzr bits laying around somewhere I,ll try & group together what I have but its not much. The headers do commonly rot so well done on your set. Do you think its a chinese bosch copy battery, hardly worth the hassel you would think!, very strange!!. I,ve a compression tester you can lend if you havent got one, another common "trait" on these engines is difficult starting from cold, the valves strech or the seats sink (depending what you read), just in case you want to check.

You should have seen the place last week ;there were another two landrovers here-both now sold thank the christ-soon as that red ones gone next thursday I'll empty the racks at the back and get started properly on the 400.It will also make space for a tidy SP some kind sole has for sale!!!!.
What is required ASAP is a way to post pics direct to text.Saw your write up on Fairing refresh and you did it!
Any one spot the irregulities in the first 3 pics!!!!
Thanks for comp tester offer.Starts no bother when cold but the 1000Rs do that when they need emulsion tubes; one maintainance issue cancels the other and both are time consuming.I imagine 400s are the same.Got started with this 400 mularky cos I went to see one not 2 miles away a fortnight ago with smashed fairings for £400 and didnt know owt about them.He said £300 as I walked away!!! It was tidier than this one,red R6 shock ,wanted rear tyre and fork seals-all panels wrecked but ran and was clean, new c/sp set.Kid was not mechanic! Time I priced 18" tyre and just missed full set of fibreglass panels and seat unit (painted not fitted) for £100 the kid had sold it.Lesson learnt the hard way.Thats why I pushed for info on M-max.
I reckon Bosch get batteries made there for economy-would not get past copyright otherwise.

You're nearly there with the pictures - but they need to be a bit smaller - there's a setting in Photobucket to resize them as they're uploaded

In Photobucket - sign in and hit the green upload button - in the top right of the dialogue box hit "Customise your upload setting" and in the resize my photos tick the 800x600 box

Then try pasting the direct link inbetween the ][ of the img

Sorted out your links for you. Pics under 1024X728 are fine, you just needed to insert the links in between 'img' tags rather than 'url' ones.
