lads can ya tell me how to remove those stupid trim clips, paticularly the big one that holds the front farings and the upper side fairings together behind the lights/under the handle bars. thanks

A small screwdrivet should work. Usually if the heads round off so a jewellers type tween the screw and clip part should prise it up enough to start twisting it out. Buy some new ones and take care with them while screwing them in. Most of the time they might just push in with a final twist to tighten. Find em on ebay, DS etc.. Your local car shop may have them.

This is assuming you have original type to begin with. Note you said the big ones.. They should be all the same type.
