Bogging Down In Top

NC30.....red lines 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th but in 6th doesnt wanna go past 11500.......seems to die and pick up but still wont red line in top.....did the HRC tap mod on a 2nd tap (cheers Paul) but didnt solve it
Any pointers?

Have you got the rubber flap fitted Del?
Mine did that, took it apart and fitted the rubber flap correctly and it ran far better.

When I rebuilt her cant say I checked as it was mainly front end damage........assumed it was in place, you know what they say about assuming... cheers mate will check that out

Yeah check and get one fitted if it hasn't. And don't change anything else then test it. It's amazing the difference it makes.

I found the lack of flap usually comes into affect by the time you get to 3rd gear but what you might have is one that's not fitted right or partly missing.

Cheers Kris, compared to my other bike this one just wants to take off low down but fizzles out in top....standard bike is the complete opposite!

Just popped down to the garage, whipped the tank off, air filter, tray....all appears in place...any more ideas?
I know the bike has been jetted but I dont know to what size

Your sure the flap is fitted? You won't see it taking just the tank off. You need the airbox off and the carb tray then the flap should sit on the headstock and top rad with both rubber parts flipped back towards the carbs.

If that is fitted correctly check the gearing, anything other than 15f 40rear will give good acceleration but limited top end.

Just read your post and realised you took the airbox and tray off.
I would check the gearing then rip the carbs off and see what's inside.
