Hi Guys, (Actually, I'm looking at you Kayla...

)
Would the FCRs from an early R6 fit a Foxeye engine?
Do we know if the spacing is the same? I know that the R6 has a TPS, but I just would not connect it up!
I'm just having mad thoughts about fueling my hybrid after the 660 conversion...
Alex.

I imagine you'd need different inlet stubs but I guess this is more about the cylinder spacing

Hi Alex,
I don't know for sure, sorry. FCRs from FZRs and Thundercats sometimes crop up though, I was watching some FCR33s from a Thundercat last week but didn't have the £300 BIN price (bargain!) to spend at the time

They eventually sold for a best offer of £250

Someone got an absolute steal there.

Is there much difference between FCR33 and FCR35's? Apart from 2mm, that is...
This is all pie in the sky, as I know I will not be able to justify them to myself, let alone anyone else in my family!

Why not console yourself with the thought of them, but justify keeping the CVs for "road use and flexibility", that's what I did with the Bimota.
Buy the T-shirt it's cheaper

I have been led to believe that FCRs are fine for road use, as long as they are setup correctly. As the carbs are going to need setting up whichever carbs are used, after the engine mods, I thought I may use some nice blingy carbs!
Oh and I already have that t-shirt!

This may or may not be very helpfull,I have fitted early R6 ex pipes,to my 4JH, I had to cut them to fit,The port spacing was different,So i would have thought the inlets would have different spacing to thundercat.
But it doesn't mean you can't make a manifold to fit.

You might be able to get a kit to make them fit .... you'd need a mounting rail top + bottom.
Then you'd have to mod the linkage ..... if they're similar to cv's

You could make them fit because they are modular, but the hardest and most expensive bit would be the bar that opens and closes the slides because it's machined to suit whichever bike they're going on.
FCRs rock, really. They're literally bolt-on horsepower and are fine on the road. The ones I had on my TRX added a good 5-10bhp (bum dyno!) right through the revs and the sound they make is incomparable- whooooooooossssshhhhh rattle rattle rattle... They make your bike smell of fuel too
