Oil on plugs

Took my plugs out today to check condition and colour. There was oil on the threads of the plugs . Not on the tip or the electrodes just the threads. Electrodes were fine. Nice light tannish grey -- no soot or wetness. No oil in plug wells, all dry. No smoke on start up or running - runs fine. Could it be nickel grease anti-seize I put on plugs? Seemed a bit too much oil for this but dont know what high temp does to it. Others have said leaking valve cover gasket but wouldnt oil be in the plug wells? Or not? Any ideas?

it is just a trait - doubt it is a problem, clean them up, stick them back in and you're sorted.

I wouldn't worry too much, I whipped my two rear plugs out last night to check colour after rejetting and I noticed the same thing, a bit of oil on the threads, the plugs were bang on, nice tan colour.

Could just be your rocker cover gasket leaking? Mine does and I have oil on my 2 front plugs.
