Just testing the water here and seeing if there would be any interest in getting your old adjusters repaired due to damage to the M4 thread. Like I myself have done and forgot to disconnect the adjuster therefore snapping the thread. As you're all aware these are now discontinued and becoming difficult to find and people pay top dollar for these now. Luckily I have one on the way which I got off the forum but intending to do a repair to my old one. I've spoke to Rick to see if he's aware of a repair kit as such and he'd be interested to see what I come up with. Unfortunately any alternatives out there don't have M4 threads they are M5. Would be nice to hear some feedback on interest and once I've got my simple but effective solution I will be posting pics.
Thanks

They are getting scarce. I've repaired 2 now by brazing on some m4 sized thread.

I'd be interested if there was a way to lengthen them at the same time! I would really like to use the adjuster bracket that the standard carbs use with my FCR's but the cable is too short

Definitely interested. It's so irritating once it's broken...

Luke how much longer? Please remember it will be solid from the end of the standard length. I will be having my tank and stuff off over the weekend so would be able to see what you can get away with. It will be a simple, but effective design. Any preferences over material stainless, ally not ti!!

On my FCR's, the throttle cable attachs between the 2 front carbs rather than to the side like the OE setup. If you can do it, I reckon an extra 3 inches (matron!) would be about perfect

OK. Luke I will get a drawing together I think in your case due to length may have to be a little bigger diameter just for strength. need to be careful where we are going with this sounds a bit suspect!!! Don't suppose you have a picture of where you are talking?

Not the best pic, but you can see where the throttle cable attaches here and the idle adjuster screws to the side of that bracket. You can see it in the centre of the pic.

They look Gucci! Well I'm having 3 samples made as we speak so should hopefully have them tomorrow. I will get some pics up then. They are being made in stainless 316. Once the picture is up and you have a better idea I'm open for advice for change.

Any photos? I'd love to see 'em.
