Hi,
I've recently had my carbs tuned and now my exup has unfortunately seized shut by the sounds of it. Will driving the bike affect the carbs at all in its current state or will it need re-tuning after sorting the exup valve if it's ridden.
Problem is, im in Birmingham at the moment and everything i need to sort it is back in Nottingham, so im just trying to figure whether i need to get a garage to sort it before i go back or wether it will cope
Thanks guys.

Can you not take the exup out?

I ran my FZR600 with a blocked EXUP for months before I got around to sorting it out. Lost a bit of mid range torque but no real ill effects. I wouldn't worry about it till you have the time.

Can you disconect the cables from the exup pulley - try that if the exup moves then it's the cables seized.

Which fzr 600 was that??
ISTR 600's didn't have a exup at all.

All of the 4JH FZR600R's had exup valves, the foxeye model. I think they were called YZF600 in america.
Just a question: Do 4JH or Thundercat headers/manifolds fit the 3TJ???

Yes it was the Foxeye.
Yes they'll fit but they sit differently. Best search on here, I'm sure it's been discussed loads of times.

I didn't think the foxeye had an exup - I thought it was a standard FZR in California.
The 600 pipes fit because the cylider spacing is the same as the 400 but they hang lower and melt the bodywork
