The issue: running very rich, mechanic sugested the Carbs need an overhaul and so we have taken the bike off the road to try and do this ourselves. Now he has next to no experience other than the odd oil change and yet managed to get these carbs off by himself so he has got the knack for it. I previously did motorsport engineer about 5years ago but am not working in the trade, i usually do our genral servicing on our cars so have a rough idea on what im doing but bikes are new to me (i do own a cbr125 that i recently purchase to begin my motorbike journey lol)

Any way the bike is running rich, last time he started (i think) it ran on three cyclinders untill warm and the indicators packed up (oddly just a week after my cbr ones packed up).
He has so far got the carbs out so we need some o rings which we ordered from vvs.

also the screws, should they be adjusted 1.5 or 1.8 on this thing? and is it adjust from its tightest postion or what?

Any help appreciated on where to locate o rings and how we do this whole carb thing :)

PM me and i will help all i can plus take a look around the site as pictures have been posted before.

Those connectors are for the temp gauge & fan switch.
The pilot air screws on the carbs are set from fully in but not tight!, it seems to vary how far out they like to be though.
If you take the carbs apart do them one at a time or use 4 small boxes to put things into, they can be a right arse to get right though. If you get new o rings check they are the right size before you use them or you will go round in circles for weeks! get some red rubber grease and lube them lightly before they are installed or they will rip.

Check the fuel tap is working correctly as if it leaks AND you have an iffy carb fuel valve you will get a cylinder full of fuel overnight that won't help things. also don't leave it on PRI as that just opens the tap perminently and again you could get an engine full of fuel when left. This will equal wet / knackered plugs, massive backfires etc.
