My bearing is shot again after only 3 months, I'm starting to think that there is something wrong with the installation. What is proper way to install them?
There also seems to be the oem ball bearings and the pyramid or all balls branded roller bearings, what's the judgement on these?

What makes you think there shot? Did you fit ball bearings or taper roller bearing?

Ball bearings. I can see and feel the steering stem lurch forward a bit on breaking.

how tight did you tighten them up?

Mechanic did it, he didn't use a torque wrench so I dont know. MAybe it's just lose?

OEM ball bearing headraces should be tourqued down using a special honda tool but it is possible to do it without one. If you can get the front end off the ground and tighten them up until they start to slow the steering down then back it off a touch, or take it back and tell em to do it properly.

For the torque I fond two values:
stearing bearing adjustment nut 50 Nm
Stearing stem nut 140 Nm

Now in the microfiche there are two or 3 parts possibly corresponding to these:
90302-mr7-000
53221-mr8-000
and 90305-mr8-000

Yeah thats the tool.

53221mr8000 is the nut you torque up to 50nm, the lock tab goes on top followed by the lock nut and then bend the tabs to prevent it all moving.

The steering stem nut is the large nut on top of the top yoke

I think I might be missing the lock tab (90506-mr7-000). The stearing stem nut is part number 90305-mr8-000 right?
