Help... Only running on 2 cylinders!

After passing my test yesterday & going out for the first time today I noticed I had no power, on closer inspection only cylinders 1 & 2 are working!

I have spark and fuel at all 4 cylinders, so I'm lost as to what's wrong! I have removed the plugs (they are brand new) and they all spark, as far as i can tell fuel is getting in, i removed the carbs and the inlet was wet with fuel, she backfires like a bitch!

I really want to get out on her and have some fun! also is there any chance that the regulator could cause this?

Any ideas welcome

If you're getting fuel and a spark I would try swapping the plug leads on 3 & 4. They may have got mixed up and you arent sparking at the right time. Hope that makes sense.

firing order is wrong or timing is out.

Good info fellas,
I got the bike as a non runner but got her going in the end but only on the 2 (stripped the carbs, new bat/plugs and the fuel pump relay was goosed)
Was reading through my haynes manual and the guy before me must have muddled them up! had 6 of us around it today trying to figure out what was going on!

Cheers again.... top info!
