HEL Rear Brake Line - Too Long?

I have just fitted new HEL lines front and back, the rear seems almost too long.

Image

Not sure if it is that clear in the photo but it runs very close to the rear of the wheel, I have used the existing route along the top of the chain guard and through the clip by the rear shock.

The bike pased the MOT the other day with it fitted so I assume its not an issue but it doesn't look right to me.

HEL are notorious for length errors, and from what I hear are fairly reluctant to correct them half the time.
I use them personally because they are high quality, never had a length issue. I also can't personally comment on their customer service as I havn't had to ever contact them. But Alot of people complain about the line lengths being too short.

Through the last clip on the chainguard then up and through a bracket that is on the underside of the undertray and then down to the master cylinder, I'm pretty sure the routing is the same as the old one I took off

cant you re- route it slightly to take up some slack , but personally i would be on the phone to the person it came from , i wouldnt want to risk it twanging in the spokes :?

I'll try that this evening, it would be handy to know how long the original is to compare it too, unfortunateley I binned mine when I took it off.
