after a few years of having my bike i`ve decided to rebuild the 35 completely (build thread to come)

what do you guys use to clean those hard to reach places and stubborn grime expecially on the motor and the inside front of the frame

Ive tries clean green (worked so so)
petrol (expensive but works really well but even then there ate these sections that just don't get clean

another question whats the best way to polish the headers and the frame and swing arm to get the best results

Gunk is brilliant but expensive. Get yourself a small garden pump spray and fill it with parafin then get some brushes, plastic ones and brass wire ones and shit loads of rags!!

It's the cheapest. Gunk is the best I find, maybe do 50/50 mix to cut the cost.

yup, no easy way im afraid, just takes time and effort, worth it though. i couldnt believe how much shit come off mine.

if your polishing the frame for a mirror finish you ll need wet n dry through the grades and some compound on a wheel to speed things up, autosole is always a winner too! if its the brushed look your keeping , i found fine wire wool worked wonders.

SOC by rock oil is pretty good too its a tad cheaper than gunk , well it is at my local shop anyway,
personally i wouldnt mirror polish frame and swinger , it looks really good but you'll really need to keep on top of it to keep it that way

Might sound strange but to achieve a polished frame on my Nc21 i used a fine grit wet/dry sand paper and autosul together at the same time i found that once it went through the lacquer it went real shiney real quick

Its not a method i'd heard before but tried it and it works, i never used a wheel or any special compound just autosul and wet n dry about 6 quid's worth in total!

Brake cleaner, parafin,

And the best but be carefull it doesnt go near plastic, powder coat and paint = carb cleaner
