So, i have some smashed fairings and i am considering whether they need to be binned or can be repaired. As I havent done this before, what do you think, bin or repair?

there are tabs missing, parts of fairings missing and they all need painting....... but i cant find any in this scheme.

I was considering just putting a race fairing on it but having read a few restoration posts recently I think I want to get it as good as i possibly can...

It is fixable but be honest is it feasible

I would personally replace them and then fix these for track days

Keep and have a go at repairing yourself.

I've mended worse.
I've used plasticard to make up small sections where something is missing, Plastex for filling an repairing cracks as well as joining parts together.
I was going to bin my standard KR1 fairing until I saw the price they're going for now.
I'd say keep it and mend it in slow time. when you've finished repairing it, it will probably be worth quite a bit as long as you do a good job.

Thanks for the replies. I would have never thought it was possible to repair bits that were missing! I think i will have to practise on something else beforehand!

What is best then, making sections from plasticard - never heard of it by the way - or buying already damaged panels to cut and weld into the parts missing from mine?
