Removing rear pad retaining pin?

Mine is siezed solid and i've pretty much rounded of the screw head trying to get it out. Any reason why I cant use my drill and a screw extractor bit to wind the screw out?

I'd be suprised if your screw extractor doesn't snap off in there too! Good luck though.

wee drop of WD40 on the thread when refitting the pin should make it easier in future

Yeah,i've never had it undone since i bought the bike but when i install the new one i'll make sure its well greased.

Forget the extractor get some heat and impact,shock to it will come out. Extract will break and your fucked to drill it out at worst case

however recently bought a snap-on reverse drill bit and extractor set that I'm itching to try out!
