Is D.I.Y. not an option?
What needs doing?
Valve clearances aren't for the average home mechanic, but most other things are fairly simple to do!

I can do most of the serviceing but i think checking the valves is left to the experts.

All I can say about the valve clearances is, that it takes time to do and you need to be careful not to drop a shim in a cylinder! You shouldn't rush it and you have to be certain that all the necessary steps are followed; such as the TDC and clearance measurements, etc.
Give it a go; you just might surprise yourself and save a load of £££ at the same time!
I had never done it before and even though it took me about 5 hours to do it, I was/am happy I did it myself!
Have a read at ViperBiker's guide on here:
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1943
You might get a headache by the end of it, (especially if you read all 14 pages!) but you'll get an idea of what the job entails!
P.s. A Haynes manual is also useful for this task!

Hi Larry, it does look difficult, but remember to get all the necessary toolings, haynes manual and work space but also time and patience. You can do it.
Who I trust to do it? Me Myself and I

Knowledge is power.
